The Moreton Bay frontage presents a highly corrosive environment, making high-quality powder coating and material selection essential for longevity. The architectural design featured varying balcony profiles and specific privacy requirements between residences, requiring custom-fabricated screening solutions that could be seamlessly integrated into the building’s sleek facade.
The Solution & Materials Used
We executed a complete supply and installation package, utilizing our in-house facility to ensure absolute precision:
- Semi-Frameless Glass Balustrading: High-clarity 10mm heat-soaked toughened safety glass panels, secured with core-drilled aluminium glazing posts and finished with a custom-profiled 70x30mm RHS top rail for a clean, unobstructed view.
- Aluminium Balustrading: A robust vertical bar system featuring 50mm CHS core-drilled posts with 60mm CHS top and mid-rails, providing a modern safety barrier for common areas.
- Architectural Screening & Louvres:
- Perforated Screens: Feature sliding and fixed panels with a custom 3mm perforated aluminium “Morse” pattern, providing a unique visual texture while offering solar shading.
- Vertical Batten Screening: 25mm SHS vertical aluminium battens fixed on edge at 40mm centres, creating a sophisticated privacy barrier for private balconies.
- Ventilation Louvres: Specialized Z-shaped ventilation louvres used for plant rooms and basement areas to ensure maximum airflow with a professional finish.
- Safety Handrailing: Wall-mounted 50mm round tube aluminium grabrails with mandrel-bent ends, ensuring ergonomic compliance and safety in all transition zones.
- Perimeter & Pool Fencing: A combination of fully compliant frameless glass pool fencing and powder-coated aluminium boundary fencing for secure, stylish site control.
