Special Considerations
Direct ocean proximity meant that every material and finish had to be of the highest grade to resist the corrosive effects of salt spray and heavy winds. The project required a mix of transparent glass elements to celebrate the ocean views and structural aluminium screening to provide essential privacy between units and around common areas.
The Solution & Materials Used
We delivered a comprehensive supply and install package, custom-manufactured to the developer’s exact specifications:
- Glass Balustrading: A sophisticated semi-frameless system featuring 10mm heat-soaked toughened glass, supported by core-drilled 50mm glazing posts and topped with an offset 70x30mm RHS grabrail.
- Aluminium Balustrading: Durable 50mm CHS core-drilled posts with matching 60mm CHS top and midrails, providing a sleek, modern safety barrier.
- Frameless Glass Pool Fencing: Utilizing 12mm toughened glass panels, cored in and grout set with polished Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel spigots for an “invisible” boundary.
- Advanced Screening Solutions:
- Perforated Screens: Fixed and sliding systems featuring 3mm Morse pattern perforation infills on 50mm SHS frames, offering a unique architectural texture.
- Vertical Batten Screens & Gates: 25mm SHS vertical battens fixed on edge at 40mm spacings to maximize privacy while maintaining airflow.
- Feature Battens: 150x3mm CHS feature elements mounted to slab faces and supported from soffits for a striking visual exterior.
- Handrailing: Wall-mounted 50mm round tube grabrails with mandrel-bent ends for safety and compliance in common transition areas.
The Result
The Azzure Bokarina Beach project stands as a benchmark for coastal residential design. By managing the fabrication and powder coating in-house, we ensured that every element—from the feature battens to the sliding perforated screens—was delivered with technical precision and a flawless finish, perfectly suited for its premium beachfront location.
