The Brief

Situated in the vibrant heart of New Farm, Della Rosa is a boutique luxury development that required a high-spec architectural metalwork package. The project demanded a clean, contemporary aesthetic that complemented the high-end finishes of the building. Complete Design Fabrication was engaged to deliver custom aluminium balustrading and safety handrailing that balanced structural integrity with a refined visual profile.

Special Considerations

As an inner-city high-rise, precision was paramount. The installation required seamless coordination with the structural concrete works and other trades to ensure that all core-drilled elements were perfectly aligned. Given the luxury positioning of the New Farm market, the finish of the powder coating and the quality of the welds needed to be flawless to meet the expectations of discerning residents.

The Solution & Materials Used

We custom-manufactured and installed a series of robust yet elegant aluminium systems:

Aluminium Balustrading: A custom-engineered system featuring 50mm SHS core-drilled posts, 70x30mm RHS top and bottom rails, and 20mm CHS vertical bars at 100mm centres. This provides a secure, compliant barrier while maintaining a slimline profile.
Aluminium Safety Handrailing:
- Wall-Mounted: Powder-coated 50mm round tube aluminium rails with 180-degree mandrel-bent ends for a smooth, ergonomic finish in transition areas.
- Freestanding: Core-drilled 50mm CHS posts featuring pin-top 50mm CHS top rails and 40mm CHS mid-rails, ensuring maximum safety in common areas and stairwells.
Perimeter Fencing: High-quality powder-coated aluminium fencing designed for both security and architectural consistency, featuring 50mm SHS posts and 16mm CHS vertical bars.
Pool Fencing: Fully compliant aluminium safety barriers utilizing 50mm SHS posts and 20mm vertical bars, providing a secure perimeter for the resident pool area.
