Bodies Corporate

Under the AP2U model, the embedded network is operated by the Body Corporate, with AP2U engaged by the body corporate to fulfil the administration and billing of the network on their behalf.

In this capacity AP2U will work with bodies corporate to set appropriate on-sell rates, arrange for bulk supply tenders and administer occupier invoices for utility consumption each billing cycle.

Electricity

AP2U will arrange for reads of the electricity sub-meters (child meters) at your building for each billing cycle, whether this be monthly or quarterly, based on your building’s preference. These reads are taken either remotely for smart meters or manually for dumb meters and provide each lots electricity usage for the billing period.
These consumption charges are then relayed to Occupiers on their utility invoice, at the on-sell rate as determined by the Body Corporate.
The consumption data collected is also analysed each month, with potential meter faults identified and reported to the body corporate for further investigation.

Hot Water

AP2U will arrange for reads of the hot water meters at your building for each billing cycle, whether this be monthly or quarterly, based on your building’s preference.  These reads are taken either remotely for smart meters or manually for dumb meters and provide each lot’s hot water consumption for the billing period.

These consumption charges are then relayed to Occupiers on their utility invoice, at the on-sell rate as determined by the Body Corporate.

Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC)

AP2U will arrange for reads of the thermal air conditioning meters at your building for each billing cycle, whether this be monthly or quarterly, based on your building’s preference.  These reads are taken either remotely for smart meters or manually for dumb meters and provide each lot’s thermal energy consumption for the billing period.

These consumption charges are then relayed to Occupiers on their utility invoice, at the on-sell rate as determined by the Body Corporate.

Gas

AP2U will bill gas consumption to Occupiers on behalf of the Body Corporate when gas is present in the building.  These charges are reflected on an Occupiers invoice at the daily on-sell rate determined by the Body Corporate for cooktop gas.

Water

For buildings that have a centralised general water supply and only one main water meter, AP2U can assist with the sub-meter process, which ultimately will have each lot separately metered and charged for their own consumption.  For buildings that have already completed the sub-metering process, AP2U can also bill for this consumption on behalf of the Body Corporate.
