We are a Queensland based company with offices in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.
All Power to You (AP2U) is a privately-owned company, established with a goal to service Bodies Corporate and commercial leasehold buildings who wish to remain independent with their Embedded Utility Networks.
Unlike nearly all other utility companies, AP2U is not owned or aligned with any single energy retailer. Our clients can buy wholesale from the retailers on the best available terms at any given time. This saving goes direct to the end users, ensuring the lowest possible utility costs.

For more info see About Us Page

  • Cost neutral, lowest net cost of utility services,
  • Best market supply rates (not tied to one supplier/retailer)
  • Provides real value to owners and residents by reducing day to day individual and common area, utilities costs
  • AER Exemptions, to legally allow the supply of utilities and billing from the body corporate and avoid being categorised as a retail seller
  • Lower bulk supply rates sourced through a market tender process with the Body Corporate

In some sites (typically apartment blocks, retirement villages, caravan parks and shopping centres), the electrical wiring is configured in such a way as to enable the owner of the site to sell energy to all the tenants or residents based there. This is known as an embedded network. https://www.aer.gov.au/consumers/information-for-electricity-customers-in-embedded-networks

Embedded networks are supplied through a connection point (parent/gate meter) to the wider distribution network.  Each unit is individually metered using a sub-meter to track each of the unit’s electricity consumption. The Body Corporate acts as the operator of the embedded network, purchasing electricity in bulk and then on-selling the electricity to each lot inside the embedded network i.e. the Occupiers of the units

An embedded network allows the Body Corporate to purchase the electricity in bulk, rather than each Occupier going directly to the market for the purchase of their electricity. The larger buying power allows the Body Corporate to obtain a lower rate for electricity consumption, passing the upfront cost savings of bulk buying to the residents.

Embedded Networks are the preferred choice for multi-tenanted developments, as Bodies corporate can independently choose their retailer for electricity supply, in turn providing lower costs to their occupants.

  • Upfront cost savings on electricity rates
  • No lock-in contracts
  • The best market supply rates
  • Independence and purchasing power

Yes, In South East Queensland you have the right to purchase electricity from a licensed retailer of your choice, under the ‘Power of Choice’.

Embedded network operators are required by law to provide customers with information regarding this at the start of their tenancy/electricity agreement.

The Power of Choice was introduced with a focus to improve access to retail competition for customer in embedded networks.

Under this introduction you have the right to purchase electricity from a licensed retailer of your choice in Victoria, New South Wales and South East Queensland.

If you are considering moving out of the Embedded Network and engaging a Retailer for your electricity supply, we would suggest:

  • Contact us to determine whether your meter is suitable to access offers directly from Retailers;
  • Let the electricity Retailer know you are part of an embedded network and whether your current meter is suitable. If it’s not, the Retailer can provide costings to install a new one; and
  • Ensure you are being charge under an ‘energy only’ offer with your new Retailer.

Don’t forget that you have a 10-day cooling off period with the new Retailer, so if you’re not happy you can return to purchasing from the embedded network, noting that exit/early termination fees are capped at $20 in Queensland.

More information can be found on the Australian Energy Regulator website: https://www.aer.gov.au/networks-pipelines/network-exemptions/embedded-network-managers

AP2U will issue bills at a frequency determined by the Body Corporate, generally either monthly or quarterly.

Payment details can be found at the bottom of your invoice and include:

  • Credit Card
  • BPAY
  • Direct Debit
  • Cheque

Each lot in the Body Corporate Embedded Network has an individual sub-meter (child meter); these meters are read either remotely or via a meter reader who attends the site at the end of each billing period. This ensures each lot is only paying for the electricity they have consumed.

There are four (5) elements that make up the amount on the bottom of your account:

  1. Consumption – The consumption is measured by reading each lot’s individual meter
  2. The Tariff – The tariff is set by the Body Corporate based on the negotiated Bulk Supply Agreement
  3. Service Fee – This is the contracted amount agreed to for the provision of utility services
  4. GST – Goods and services tax is a broad-based tax of 10%
  5. Rebates – If eligible and you have provided a completed rebate form a Rebate will appear on your invoice. This is issued in accordance with the Queensland Government Department of Energy and Water.

You can calculate your bill by multiplying your consumption by the tariff and then adding the service fee, subtracting any rebates and then adding on the GST.

The service or supply fee is a fixed charge that will be displayed on your bill as a daily rate (cents per day). This rate covers the cost of supplying energy to the unit as well as maintenance and reading of your electricity meters.

It is important to remember this fee will be applied to your bill even if there is no consumption for the billing period.

If you are eligible for an Electricity or Concessional rebate please complete the form on the bottom of the ‘Move in Application’ page, or alternatively contact us direct.

If you are unsure if you are eligible, please visit the Queensland Government Department of Energy and Water Supply website.

You will not be provided a rebate until you provide your concessional details to AP2U via a rebate form – [link to rebate form].

Yes, you can setup regular payment through the BPay details listed at the bottom of your first bill.

If you are yet to receive your first bill, please contact our office and we will provide you with the relevant BPay details for your account.

  1. Check whether the electricity outage affects only your apartment. Check with your neighbours / is there power in the common areas?
  2. If it is only your property, your next best option is to ensure all the switches on the switchboard are in the ‘on’ position. Otherwise call your preferred electrician
  3. Otherwise contact your building manager or leasing agent to report this issue.
  4. Then contact your distributor who’s contact information can be found…….
